Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. She spent most of her youth listening to classic music, boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic music and classic classical music. Ana loves tangos. She also loves operas as well as any dramatic performance. When she was 16 years old, she started singing and studying the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to provide her with more intense training in singing. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. While a young student and professional, she sang with many chamber groups and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. When she moved in the United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002, she made her way to Southern California. She's a frequent solo performer at events, private parties and other occasions, performing traditional Latin American Music. Ana is involved in a variety of local projects in both teaching and performer, because of her passion for art and music. Ana was also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as well as the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her love and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to impart a desire to, particularly in the younger age group to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
